Corporate Tax Manager

This firm's tax team has a strong reputation and a varied client base. They have a culture of developing their people rather than simply processing compliance, and the Manager role here reflects that. You will be doing compliance, but you will also be doing advisory work. The firm expects its managers to be the client's main point of contact, not a relay between Partner and junior.

The Role

• Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, covering compliance and advisory work across a range of sectors
• Prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns, managing the compliance cycle from start to finish
• Advise on matters including group tax planning, transactions, restructuring, and R&D tax relief
• Build and maintain direct client relationships, acting as the day-to-day point of contact for your portfolio
• Support and develop more junior members of the tax team

About You

• Qualified, ideally with a tax-specific qualification. A strong corporate tax background in practice is the priority
• Solid grounding in corporate tax compliance and comfortable with advisory work
• Confident managing a client portfolio with direct client contact and responsibility
• A clear communicator who can explain technical tax positions in accessible terms
