Employment Tax Director

This is not a support role for the corporate tax team. It is a specialist leadership position with its own client base, its own development trajectory, and a clear route to Partnership for someone who wants to build something meaningful.

The Role

• Lead the employment tax offering, advising clients on PAYE compliance, IR35 and off-payroll working, benefits in kind, share schemes, and employer due diligence
• Act as the senior point of contact for employment tax clients, handling complex advisory assignments and managing key relationships
• Support the corporate tax and audit teams with employment tax input on corporate transactions and business advisory work
• Develop the employment tax practice, including new business activity and the growth of referral relationships
• Mentor employment tax managers and develop the capability of the wider team

About You

• Qualified, with a tax-specific qualification. A genuine specialism in employment tax developed within a practice environment
• Ideally at Director or Senior Manager level with a track record in employment tax advisory
• Strong technical knowledge across PAYE compliance, share schemes, IR35, and global mobility matters
• Commercially astute and credible in senior client-facing situations
